Champions Crowned at 3rd Annual Scrumble Golf Tournament
San Diego, CA (February 17, 2010) – The foursome of Dallas Orchard, Anthony Hunter, Sean Evans and Yale Rowe took home the top honors at the 3rd Annual USRF Scrumble at the beautiful Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas.The tournament took place on Friday, February 12, 2010 and after an early morning chill, the sun came out for what would be a glorious day for golf. Aided by the purchase of the Mulligan Package, the champions came in with a score of -21 over the 6,146 yard, par 72 course. “We used our Mulligan Package to the fullest extent,” said Orchard, the ringleader of the group. Each member of the winning foursome won a professional style golf bag, donated by Gosling’s, with the Black Seal logo embroidered on each bag. Finishing in second place with a score of -18 was former US Eagle scrumhalf John Mickel, Jeff Mickel, Justin Findlay and Mike Hladky. Each member of the second place team went home with a dozen Scrumble golf balls. Coming in third at -17 was the team comprised of former Eagles Bill Fraumann, Jim Dierker and John Jelaco, and Rory Smith. All members of the third place team won beer steins donated by Anheuser-Busch. In addition to the three winning groups taking home prizes, many unique rugby, golf and baseball prizes were won at the highly anticipated Scrumble Raffle. The raffle took place during the post-tournament luncheon in the spacious Siena clubhouse.
