The U.S. Rugby Foundation would like to remind all prospective student-athletes that the application period for the 2025 College Scholarships will close on August 31, 2025. This is a final call to all graduating high school seniors who are committed to playing rugby at the collegiate level to submit their applications.
"We are incredibly proud to support the next generation of rugby talent both on and off the field," said a USRF representative. "Our scholarships are designed to recognize not only athletic ability but also academic achievement and community involvement."

The USRF offers a variety of scholarships, each with its own specific criteria, including the Meg Votta Memorial Scholarship, the Kaler Family Rugby Scholarships, the William V. Campbell Memorial Scholarship, the Richard A. Donelli Memorial Scholarship, and the Kevin Higgins College Scholarship Program. Other opportunities include the Dick Poulson Scholarship, the Jeff Lombard Eagle Scholarship, and the Don Burgess International Scholarship.
Eligibility for most scholarships requires applicants to be graduating high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5, who plan to attend a four-year college with a recognized rugby program and join it in the fall of the same year. Specific scholarships may have additional requirements, such as a higher GPA, financial need, or a specific geographic location.
All application materials, including personal statements and letters of recommendation, must be submitted by the August 31 deadline. The USRF encourages all eligible students to apply for these valuable opportunities to help them pursue their academic and rugby goals.
