The US Rugby Foundation Celebrates 60 Years Growing Grassroots Rugby

The US Rugby Foundation is proud to celebrate its 60th anniversary of supporting the growth and development of youth rugby in the United States. Since its inception, the US Rugby Foundation has been a leader in promoting the sport, from youth and high school programs, to coaches and referees.
The organization has countless achievements and accomplishments since its founding in 1963, such as providing 17,000 A-Ball-4-All rugby balls to rugby programs throughout the United States, awarding over 150 college scholarships to deserving young men and women, issuing grants to 350 coaches and referees, as well as proving once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to 22 promising young rugby players with Pathways to Excellence grants.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary,” said Brian Vizard, President of the US Rugby Foundation. “Rugby has come a long way in the United States, and the support of the US Rugby Foundation has been crucial in its growth and development. We look forward to continuing to support the sport and the US rugby community in the years to come.”
