Thank You for Joining Us for a Successful Lost Afternoon Luncheon!

November 5, 2025

The US Rugby Foundation celebrated a hugely successful weekend, hosting its annual Lost Afternoon Luncheon in Chicago this past Saturday. Held at the historic Chicago Hilton on Michigan Avenue, the event served as the perfect pre-match celebration before the highly anticipated test match between New Zealand and Ireland at Soldier Field.

The Luncheon proved to be a memorable affair, raising crucial funds for the US Rugby Foundation’s mission to grow grassroots rugby across the United States. Attendees enjoyed a fantastic brunch, participated in lively opportunity drawings, and bid generously during the silent auction.

The program's highlight was an engaging keynote address delivered by two of Scotland’s most iconic rugby legends, Gavin and Scott Hastings. The legendary brothers shared unparalleled insights and witty anecdotes from their careers at the highest level of the international game, providing a truly captivating and memorable experience for all in attendance. Following the luncheon's conclusion, guests transitioned directly to Soldier Field to enjoy the match.

The US Rugby Foundation extends its sincerest thanks to every individual, sponsor, and volunteer who attended and contributed to the day. Your support was integral to the success of this signature event, and the funds generated will directly impact youth development, coaching, and referee programs nationwide.

Look out for the next one! The success of this year’s luncheon was inspiring, and we are already looking forward to planning the next iteration. Keep an eye on the US Rugby Foundation’s announcements for details on our future signature events.
