True Spirit of Rugby

During the holiday season, getting together with friends is what it’s all about—shared moments, laughter, and memories that stick. This clip is a perfect example of what we’ll be doing this holiday season: friends, laughter, and a few songs along the way.
Seen here at the 2000 European Rugby Cup Final, legendary actors Richard Harris and Peter O’Toole—both proud ruggers—break into song in a light-hearted 4:44 moment that captures the pure spirit of rugby. No matter who we are or what we do, rugby has a way of bringing people together.
Singing the folk song "Carrickfergus" they remind us that while the song has nothing to do with the game itself, it speaks to something deeply rooted in rugby culture: camaraderie, storytelling, and voices raised together. Harris and O’Toole were perfect examples of the global rugby family—where connection matters most. (Image: YT @CR's Video Vaults)
