In honor of Fiji’s Rugby 7s Gold Medal victory at the Rio 2016 Olympics, the Reserve Bank of Fiji issued a $7 commemorative banknote and a 50-cent coin—officially unveiled on April 20, 2017.

Over more than 18 months, two million banknotes and one million coins were produced, each carrying full legal tender status and eligible for everyday use.

These unique collectibles celebrate Fiji’s pride, passion, and world-class rugby achievement—an unforgettable moment in rugby history. Fiji won the first-ever Olympic men’s rugby sevens gold medal by defeating Great Britain 41-7.        (Image: rbf.gov.fj)

  • 11 am - 1 pm: Program and Silent Auction
  • 1 pm - 3 pm: Transition to Solider Field
  • 3 pm: New Zealand vs. Ireland
