Dan Santoro

Dan Santoro's rugby career began as an original member of the 1981 team at Southern Connecticut State College. With no men's club nearby after graduation, he moved to South Florida in 1986 and joined the Boca Raton RFC before settling in Fort Lauderdale, where he joined FTL RFC in 1989 — the start of a run that included seven FRU State Division 2 Championships over the following 12 years.

In 1995, Dan attended the first of ten Golden Oldies festivals and became a well-known figure in international Masters rugby. In 2001, he put his journalism background to use as the Masters (Old Boys) columnist for RUGBY magazine, traveling the world to chronicle the people and stories that have kept the sport alive for decades.

Dan has supported players and teams of all ages with tours and other rugby matters throughout the United States and around the world. He brings that same enthusiasm to USRF, where he hopes to help drive awareness and fundraising for the organization.
