Clarence "Mike" Bishoff

Clarence "Mike" Bishoff's rugby career began in January 1993 with the Pittsburgh Harlequins, followed by a tour to Ireland, England, and Wales in 1994. After a brief stint with the Jersey Shore Sharks in New Jersey, he returned to Pittsburgh and the Harlequins, helping establish the club's nonprofit arm, Pittsburgh Harlequins RFA, to introduce rugby to inner-city communities.

Mike trained as a Level 1 youth coach and began volunteering in Braddock, Pennsylvania, later leading a program for players 14 and under through the St. Ken-Rox Boys & Girls Club. After a move to Syracuse, New York took him out of the game, he returned to rugby when his son began playing in 2014. Since relocating to Jacksonville, Florida in 2017, Mike has been deeply involved with the Jax Wolverines high school rugby club, serving as an assistant coach and board president, and has since earned Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certifications as well as a Level 1 referee certification.

Mike has helped create and run a U19 tournament in the Jacksonville area, led clinics to attract new players, and worked to secure sponsors and fundraising support for local programs. He is currently working to establish a network of schools to launch three to five new high school rugby programs in North Florida. Professionally, Mike brings more than two decades of experience in outdoor advertising, real estate, and public affairs, most recently as VP of Development at Wolfgate Devco.
