Always a major fundraiser for the U.S. Rugby Foundation's youth rugby programs, this year's U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will once again be a collaboration between the U.S. Rugby Foundation and USA Rugby.
“After last year's successful Hall of Fame Dinner in San Diego, both organizations are looking to see if we can top that effort," said U.S. Rugby Foundation Executive Director Brian Vizard. "With the Eagles coming off an undefeated ARC and with Scotland climbing to 5th in the world rankings, we expect a good crowd for the match, and hopefully many of those rugby fans who are in Houston for the match will want to help welcome this very deserving group into the Hall of Fame.”
USA Rugby CEO, Dan Payne, shared similar sentiments.
"USA Rugby and The
Foundation working together is a
partnership we can build on moving forward. From a symbolic
perspective this serves as an illustration of what can and must be done on a
more frequent basis across our country. Communicate, partner, align and
work toward growing the game together based on the same core values we all
share. I feel stronger about this now more than ever... The work the
Foundation, it's board and the many generous donors that support the Foundation's
mission each year must be commended by every rugby enthusiast in America.
1000s of youth rugby players benefit from the much needed support provided by
the Foundation. Lastly, congratulations to each of the inductees and
'thank you' for all you've done for the game of rugby in our country!"
