Grants

The United States Rugby Football Foundation is proud of the fact that through the numerous grants they have provided over the years, thousands of children have been exposed to the sport of rugby in the United States.

Through the Foundation's Size 4 and Size 5 Ball Grant Program, rugby teams and elementary and high school physical education programs from throughout the country have been able to bring the sport of rugby to America's youngsters.

High school rugby teams just getting off the ground have used Foundation Start-Up Kit Grants to acquire much needed rugby equipment to assist in practice and game day preparation.

Another area of focus for the USRFF is on Safety and Risk Management. To that end, the Foundation recently approved an $11,000 grant for an online high school rugby injury study to benefit all current and future high school players throughout the country.

Coaches and referees from coast to coast have also benefitted from Foundation Coaching and Refereeing Grants with financial assistance for partaking in USA Rugby sanctioned clinics and conferences.

While much of it support is directed to the youth segment of the country's rugby community, the Foundation realizes the importance of supporting some of the nation's most promising players. Their support of the U.S. Collegiate All Americans tour to New Zealand in 2005 is a perfect example of this as many of the All Americans squad will be representing the United States on the international stage.
