United States Rugby Foundation Announce
Latest Ball Grant Recipients

San Diego, CA (August 17, 2006) - The United States Rugby Foundation has announced its latest ball grant recipients. Over the years, the USRF has provided balls to hundreds of youth and high school programs, helping introduce rugby to thousands of children. The latest recipients include a mix of boys and girls programs, youth and high school, and club and physical education programs.

"The Foundation is excited to be part of the growth of youth rugby in the United States," said USRF Executive Director, Brian Vizard. "There are a lot of clubs and programs that are just getting off the ground that may not have the funds for some extra rugby balls. We are glad to assist."

The recent ball grant recipients include:
East Islip RFC
Katy Rugby
Mon River U19 Boys & Girls Rugby
Omaha-Westside U19 RFC
Palmetto Ridge Bears High School
Pittsburgh Harlequins Youth
South Florida Rugby Academy
SWARM RFC Girls
UDC Barbarians

The USRF is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization established in 1963. Although its main focus is supporting youth and high school rugby, the Foundation also provides grants to coaches and referees; establishes international student exchanges and college scholarships, has assisted the United States Collegiate All-Americans and Boys Under-19 teams, and also provides grants to Safety and Risk Management Research.
